Overview of Studio
Kyoto Art Center provides a studio free of charge as a production support project to support the activities of emerging and young artists who want to widely present the results of their artistic creation. Recruitment is held twice a year (September and March), and users are selected through a selection process.
In the production support business, we welcome challenging efforts to reconsider one's own production and work with a purpose in mind. The aim is for artists to brush up on their activities by taking their time working on the work (up to 3 months), presenting the work, and then reflecting on the work and production (submission of a project report).
In addition, as an opportunity for citizens to learn about the activities of studio users and to feel closer to the art world, we hold Meirin workshops with studio users as instructors. We look forward to receiving applications from artists who aim to experiment and further develop.
