Film Release: Pilipp Dreber Artist interview film & Documentary film of his exhibition Rain in Kyoto

Philipp Dreber Exhibition -Rain in Kyoto- was held for only five days, from 27th Feb-2nd March 2020.

Since 2016 Kyoto Art center (KAC) has been collaborated with Quartier am Hafen, large-scale artist studios in Cologne, Germany . Philipp Dreber was invited to Kyoto Art Center as residential artist for Artist in Residence Program 2019/Exchange: Quartier am Hafen and and stayed at Kyoto for 57 days.

His artist talk was canceled due to corona virus epidemic. Instead of his canceled artist talk, his artist interview was filmed.

Two art works were created based on his expression of rain in Kyoto during his residency . A huge installation, consist of 240 umbrellas ,over 3m its height, was created thorough his impression from the way of a lot of plastic umbrellas suddenly popping up in front of the stores. And a shining drop film- audio installation was inspired by a passing rain in a sunny day.

This only five-day exhibition was documented through film, with some drone shootings.
