DIY Video Workshop about "Japanese Ghost"
The Kyoto Art Center Artist In Residence 2019 Program: "Kyoto Makai: Ghostly Japan" is a workshop where through poetic imagination, participants will develop small videos exploring the pleasure of fear, inspired by two main themes of Japanese ghost stories: The beauty of revenge and the passions that has the power to reach beyond death. A brief theoretical tour where we will visually visit stories of the sandai yūrei, a mix of ancient and modern ghost stories in Japan, and a second part where all the audience will create their own video.
