Kyoto Power of Culture Project 2016-2020 “POP UP Museum” Open Call Application guidelines for outdoor Installation

The Olympics is the world’s largest festival of the peace, not only for sports, but also to celebrate culture. As we move towards the year 2020, the Kyoto Power of Culture Project brings diverse forms of arts and culture, from Kyoto to the world, and we will strive to deliver a stream of original new artistic creations through interaction and the collaboration with both the local and international communities.
This open call is to encourage artists and architects from all around the globe to submit applications to create an art installation, to be exhibited outdoors, temporarily, during the festival. The selected application is expected to boldly utilize the allocated urban space, to enliven our imagination, and use it to bring an energetic and stimulating vibe into our everyday life. Please join this rare opportunity to incorporate the undeniable charms of Kyoto into your artistic plan.
